Lan4scape - 中國山水畫精品展

  • (Hong Kong, April 2015) Wan Fung Art Gallery is proud to present The Group Exhibition of Chinese Contemporary Landscape Paintings from 16 April to 4 May 2015. This exhibition presents artworks about passion of nature from well-known artists, including Du Yingqiang, Feng Yiming, Li Zhang Tian and Zhao Wuchao. The opening reception will start at 4pm, 16th April, 2015.

Zhang Zao, painter and art theorist of Tang Dynasty, said ‘Good artists learn from nature and transform their inner feelings into art’. This statement adequately explains the concept of creation of the four artists and the pursuit of ‘the union of nature and man’ shared among Chinese artists since ancient time. Not only do the artworks from four artists preserve the traditional elements of Chinese ink and brushstrokes, but also incorporate the aesthetic of modern art. Du Yingqiang’s painting expresses his emotional love of countryside; the landscape paintings by Zhao Wuchao adopt the approaches of realism and romanticism; Feng Yiming fully demonstrates his fascination of nature; Li Zhang Tian paints with the technique of Chinese splash ink and color.

Wan Fung Art Gallery cordially invites you to appreciate the artworks of four landscape masters and listen to their praise of nature.
